This is a recording of a 1982 Berkeley concert by one of this
century's greatest masters of the Indian sitar, as fine an extended
performance of classical Indian instrumental music as you will
find on CD. The two CDs are accompanied by a 32-page booklet that
provides a lot of useful information about Banerjee, his music,
his personality, and the musical and cultural contexts of the
classical Indian raga in the 20th century. As a public service,
I'd like to mention that the absolute best and most economical
